The Parka coat was origionally introduced by eskimos but then re-introduced in the 1930s as winter sports wear and again was a hit in the 80s. The Parka was normally worn in cold weather activities like skiing and skating because of its comfort and warmth. It's now back on the fashion calender, a spring/08 trend and must-have for every fashion gals closet. Lots of drawstrings, zips and pockets for this look to have an impact.
