(Above) Peter Pilotto SS/10Among my current fav young designers is design duo Peter Pilotto. The brand Peter Pilotto is formed of two designers Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos who met whilst studying at Antwerp’s prestigious Royal Academy of Fine Arts in the year 2000 before deciding to team up. They have showed for three season's now at Fashion Week and I simply can't get enough of their fabulous prints and amazing play and mixes with colour and texture.
Their vision of how a woman should dress embraces both modern and classic perspectives on elegance which makes them so unique. Their combination of imaginative prints with soft sculptural shapes form their handwriting and it is something that has continued to evolve season-after-season. Pilotto focuses more on textiles and print whereas De Vos concentrates more on silhouette and drape; with the two talents put together forming the signature of the brand that fans have come to know and love.
Michelle Obama and Claudia Schiffer are amongst the many Peter Pilotto fans who have been spotted in previous collections.
