FLAPPER MEETS PUNK RIOT GIRL AT MYRZA DE MUYNCK
Myrza's SS13 collection showcased her signature delicately hand-worked
embroidery and hand painted prints. Part Flapper and part Punk Riot
girl, the new collection took inspiration from women’s individuality
through music and maintained the designers tomboy attitude mixed with feminine elegance. The
silhouettes were inspired by 19 teens swimwear and early Egyptomania
combined with the attitude of a Riot girl. Using summery linen, poplin
cotton, towelling printed with checks and hand embroidered beads and
sequins.
The presentation of her new collection also featured a performance in
collaboration with musician Zoe Grisedale. On the beat of live drums the
models ranged from young to old and gave their individual pose on the
beat of the drums.
