LFW: ONES TO WATCH | SS/14

The Ones to Watch show at Fashion Scout has become a must-see for those looking to discover the future bright stars of British Fashion, and in past seasons has launched the careers of designers like Georgia Hardinge, David Longshaw and Eudon Choi.
This season was unusual in that we had three female designers in the form of Helen Lawrence, Hannah Williams and Renli Su.

My two favorite were Hannah Williams and Helen Lawrence (as featured in the post). Hannah Williams' collection showcased an instantly striking range comprised of moulded silicon pieces in soft pastel hues gave it a feminine feel with a very tough edge. It was incredible sleek thanks to the use of an unusual material but moulded details such as heavy zips, seams, pockets and jewellery-like beading meant the collection achieved the perfect balance of being effortless and minimal without being overly simplistic.
Lawrence presented a strong collection pairing unconventional materials with a gritty urban palette of slate grey and black peppered with soft pink and lime green hues. Texture seemed to be the main theme of the collection with transparent PVC sitting alongside traditional knits and plastic boots.
