Must see "fashion" films...

1.Audrey Hepburn in Funny Face: most of the dresses she wore in the film were designed by Givenchy.

2.Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's: You see the birth of the famous Little black dress in this film. Its fun packed with a bunch of style, glamour and parties. The trench-coat also plays a pivital role and the over-sized sunglass and hat look. Most of the dresses that feature were costumed by Givenchy. The glamour and fashion of the late 50s is at its best in this film, not only as seen in the costumes of the stars and Hepburn’s couture wardrobe by French designer Hubert De Givenchy, but also through the cinematography and set design of the film itself.

Watching Funny Face is like stepping into a time machine that you’ll never want to leave, Hepburn’s classic outfits inspired a generation of fashion that still repeats itself (black pedal pushers will forever be associated with her unforgettable interpretive dance), and the film draws on topics that always seem to be current: the inside workings of the fashion world, and the exalted lives of those that grace the covers of our magazines.

3.Diane Keaton in 'Annie Hall' - The film that launched the 'waist-coat'. Diane's hat, man's tie, shirt, waistcoat and wide-leg pants look appeared simultaneously polished yet just thrown on. The look became a '70s sensation as women opted for Lauren's masculine/feminine style, making menswear à la mode. As Annie Hall would say, it was all very "la-di-da." A good watch too!

4.Rebel without a cause brought a whole new attitude into the scene. Free spiritedness and freedom of speech.

5.You see Julie Christie working the Russian look and looking faboulous!
