Having a Barbie doll was and still is every little girls dream - growing up, I remember playing with her and dressing her up; even doing her hair and make-up and going shopping in pretend shops around the home living room. One of the happiest memories a girl can have from her childhood, and it's funny to think how far she has come especially after she recently hit 50 this year. Wow, it's really hard to believe that Barbie has been around that long and in her time, we have certainly seen many different kinds. So now we have Mr.Louboutin giving Barbie a whole new look and has even gone as far as altering some of her physical features after claiming that her ankles were "too fat" and stating that her feet needed to be "more curvy". Well the man surely must have known what he's talking about and I personally have always thought Barbie's feet could be a better shape - after-all Louboutin is one of the best shoe designers of all time and Barbie couldn't have been made over by a better person.

... Christian Louboutin recently collaborated with Mattel to create his own collection of Barbie dolls and is the one of latest designers to makeover the most famous girl in the plastic world. This fabulous 'Cat Burglar' doll is a limited edition and the first of Louboutin's three to be released so far. Dressed in a black catsuit with different Louboutin heels to switch into, she is the perfect gift for fashion lovers this Christmas. She comes with a collection of 4 red-soled Louboutins, each with their own shoe box and bag. This collaboration also features the Barbie-pink, red-soled Louboutin heels that debuted in Barbie's birthday runway show during New York Fashion Week in February this year.

Talked about as if she were almost a real person and even more famous than some celebrities, it has become almost scary to imagine what she will be like in the future - next you'll hear there's a 'talking barbie' or even one that walks and does things but, what I really wonder is what they will make of her when she reaches a hundred years - maybe she'll be in a wheel-chair by then, I hope not but I guess we'll all just have to hanging in tight and see what comes next. It's all exciting though how her creators have continued to push the boundaries to ensure that every generation
has a fresh and new Barbie that is appeals to modern ages and I can't wait to see what they will come up with next for our life-long friend and plastic darling - Barbie.
