POP PR SS/13 PRESS DAY

Earlier this week I was kindly invited to attend the Pop PR Press Day for SS/13. In light of the Halloween spirit, the showroom was decorated with cobwebs, spiders and pumpkins which set-off a cheering and celebratory tone to the event. Greeted by the lovely and accommodating Pop team with a drink, I was then walked through each of the designers' collections they represent. Pam Hogg's collection was one of my favourites and her famous black beetle-like textured gown with the heavy facial ‘armour’ was on display taking centre-stage right alongside another one of the beautiful designs in white. I was drown more to her lighter pieces which to me represented a strong, feminine feel. They looked just magical as they hung up on the rails with hints of sparkle shining through; really all I wanted to do was pull down one of the pieces and try them on. My other favs included the talented Nova Chiu, Bernard Chandran, Francesca Marotta and the green tones from the Marimodo SS/13 Collection went down a treat in the Pop offices and of-course Jeffery Michael who's recent show I had sadly missed but was even more excited to see the collection up-close and personal. I was even luckier to bump into the designer himself at the event which made for the perfect highlight of my day.
