As big as you can make 'em... "layering chains is the game!"

From chunky wooden beads to heaps of chains, delicate chokers and rosaries. The neckline stood at the A/W08-09 catwalk shows from the likes of Dries van Noten, Emanuel Ungaro, Lanvin, Philip Lim and Givenchy simply proving there's only one way to go for fall'08...the bigger the neck piece the better!!!

The word has been out there for a while and now it's time to shine. If you don't know what I'm taking about, It's the neckline. Apparently, it's a huge thing for Autumn/Winter 08-09 and the simpler the outfit, the bigger the neckline has got to be. I mean wearing a huge or oversized/outstanding or colourful necklace - as much a "stand-out piece" as you can get or make it and you're in with the fashion crowd.

I experimented with one of my fav looks from the fall collections, as seen on the Givenchy catwalk and it didn't come out half bad. Though an idea that is not entirely new and has been done differently over the years with all types of pieces, the way it was styled on the Givenchy catwalk really gave it a whole new edge, costume jewellery influence, hence therefore now a must-have or 'do' for that matter. If you can't get the real deal, experiment with whatever pieces you've got and make your look individual.

Apply it to that soft-goth look; dark but inviting, mysterious kind-of girl and instantly create a simple but striking appearance for this coming season. As a matter-of-fact I think I'll pop that right on my top 10 A/W trend list which I'm still compiling in which case you will have to bare with me. For now I'm convinced, layering chains is the game.
